The Constitution has 7 articles. Of those articles , each has sections to set up the laws for each branch of government.
Article1 establishes the first of the 3 branches of government. Section 1 establishes the Legislature that is Congress, a 2 part body. Section 2 establishes the lower body of Congress known as the House of Representatives. Section 3 establishes the upper body of Congress known as the Senate.
Article 1 - The Legislative Branch
Section 1 - The Legislature-All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
Section 3 - State of the Union, Convening Congress- He will from time to time address both Houses with State of the Union. He will also make sure the laws are being faithfully followed.
Section 4 - Disqualification- The President, Vice President , and all other civil Officers of the U.S. can be impeached,or removed from office, if convicted of Treason or Bribery.
Article 3 - The Judicial Branch
Section 1 - Judicial Powers- Supreme Court and the smaller courts.
Section 2 - Trial by Jury, Original Jurisdiction, Jury Trials- Trials of all crimes will be a jury trial, except for impeachment, . The trial will take place in the state of the crime.
Section 3 - Treason- It is when helping the U.S enemies, or levying war against the U.S. It can only be Treason if convicted by the testimonies of 2 witness of the same treasonous act. Or a confession in open court.
Article 4 - The States
Section 1 - Each State to Honor all Others= Each state will honor the laws of all other states.
Section 2 - State Citizens, Extradition- A citizen of one state shall enjoy the privileges and immunities of citizens in all states.
Section 3 - New States- New states can be admitted to the Union by Congress. But states cant form new jurisdictions within each other.
Section 4 - Republican Government- The United States will protect all states in the Union from invasion.
Article 5 - Amendment- When ever 2/3s of both Houses deem it necessary, can add amendments to the Constitution . As long as they never change the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article. Also no state shall lose its equal suffrage in the Senate without its consent.
Article 6 - Debts, Supremacy, Oaths-All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.
Article 7 - Ratification-The Ratification of the Conventions of nine States, shall be sufficient for the Establishment of this Constitution between the States so ratifying the Same.
